Mrs. Tamar Milford, Ganter's Gully, Mt. Morgan, who died suddenly while on her way home after attending a social afternoon, had a legion of friends. Another great shock came to them when the deceased's husband, Mr. Herman George Milford, who had been in indifferent health for some time, passed away at his residence a month later.

Mrs. Milford, who was 62 years, was the youngest daughter of the late Mr. James Swadling, who for many years managed Gracewell station, Gracemere, and later was a resident of Mt. Morgan. Mrs. F. A. Smith, Shandon Hill, Mt. Morgan, is a sister.

Mr. Milford, who was 64 years, was born in Rockhampton. In his younger days he was employed on stations in the central west, and was a well-known horsebreaker. Later he removed to Mt. Morgan and was employed by the old and present Mt. Morgan Gold Mining Co. He married Miss Swadling in Mt. Morgan. There was no issue of the marriage. He leaves an aged father, one sister and a brother to mourn their loss. His funeral moved from St. Mary's Church of England, Rev. Canon Fellows reading the prayers at the church and graveside.
