This entry is from Obituaries Australia

The news this week is short, but very sad. An accident happened last night, about 6 o'clock, to a man named William Murray, working in No. 8 tunnel, known as No. 3 prospecting tunnel, behind Mr. Garlick's residence. Murray was engaged as wheeler and water bailer, and while in the act of bailing water a large stone fell from the roof, killing the poor follow on the spot. The deceased was but 25 years of age, and leaves a wife and one child. His father was an old resident of Old Bulli, and was colliery blacksmith.
