A sad fatality occurred at the M. C. Davies Karri and Jarrah Co.'s Jarrahdene Mill, to-day, when John Ambrose (35), who was employed on the landing, was killed instantaneously by a log rolling over him whilst he was fixing a chain, preparatory to hauling the log into the mill. The deceased was a native of Victoria, where he has left a widow and two children. An inquest, in connection with the death, will be held to-morrow.
