Alexander George Barty (1903-1968) boilermaker, trade union leader
Birth: 16 April 1903 at Newport, Victoria, son of David Melville Barty, Scottish-born machinist and woodworker, and Florence, née McGrath. Marriage: 27 December 1924 at Footscray Baptist Church in Victoria to Rubena Adele Allingham. They had one son and one daughter. Death: 30 November 1968 at Parkville, Victoria. Religion: Baptist.
