Birth: 1892 at Northcote, Melbourne, Victoria, son of Robert Clarke (1945-1910), miner, born at Woodbury Hill, Dorset, England, and native-born Sarah Jane, née Murray (1855-1947). Marriage: 1915 at Melbourne, to native-born Lilian Cecelia (Lillie) Heffler (1890-1962). They had one daughter Death: 6 August 1980 at Coburg, Victoria.
