Augusto Enrico 'Gus' Coloretti (1908-1982), hospital employee, trade union leader, municipal councillor and mayor
Birth: 26 August 1908 [at Sarzana, Liguria, Italy, according to his naturalization application] son of Dante Coloretti (1882-1930), a labourer, and Luigia, née Cargiolli (1883-1968). Marriage: 1 February 1936 at St Mary’s Cathedral, Johannesberg, South Africa, to Ellen Hannah Gayton (1909-2004). They had two daughters. Death: 11 January 1982 at Richmond, Victoria. Religion: Catholic.
