John Cosgrave (1876–1931)

This entry is from Obituaries Australia

We have received the following sad news from Mrs. Bertha Cosgrave: "Poor Jack passed away at the Melbourne Hospital on March 18th." Jack was a prominent unionist and Laborite, and is well known at the Trades Hall as a one-time secretary of the Electroplaters' Union. He threw himself into the Movement with enthusiasm, and did his bit towards any forward movement that tended for the uplift of humanity. However, his health, which was never too good, failed. He had been an invalid for some time before his death.

We extend our deepest sympathy to his relatives, and especially to Mrs. Cosgrave, who faithfully stuck to Jack all through his trials and troubles.
