Mr. Thomas Henry Jenkin, who came to Broken Hill 43 years ago, died at the Hospital from pneumonia early on Sunday morning. He was born at Burra, and on coming to Broken Hill worked as a miner on the Proprietary and other mines. He left that work to go into the furniture business with Mr. Fred White, a brother-in-law, but later went into business on his own account as a carrier. He leaves a widow and grown-up family of two sons and four daughters—Messrs William Jenkin (Adelaide), and Frederick Jenkin (Broken Hill), and Mesdames H. Plane (whose husband was killed at the South mine). C. Hulbert Bale, and W. Wilkinson, all of Broken Hill. He was buried in the general portion of the Cemetery this afternoon, the funeral arrangements being in the hands of F. J. Potter and Son.
