Larkin, William Joseph (1841–1902)

from Catholic Press (Sydney)

This entry is from Obituaries Australia

Early on Monday morning last Mr. William Larkin passed away at his residence, Hordern-street, Newtown, after an illness extending over about 13 weeks. Deceased, who was a native of Dapto, New South Wales, was in his 62nd year. With a heart overflowing with charity, and being a faithful adherent of his religion, he had been for many years to the fore in matters connected with the church in Camperdown, until his business necessitated frequent and lengthy sojourns in the country. He breathed his last in the presence of his aged mother, two sisters and two brothers, together with his widow, four sons and one daughter. Rev. Father Dowling, of Newtown, was most assiduous in his attention to the spiritual requirements of Mr. Larkin throughout his illness.
