Mr. Thomas Wilton, who died at Victor Harbor in his eighty-third year, was born in Cornwall. He came to Australia at the age of two, and with his parents settled at Moonta. Later he went to Victor Harbor when the work on the breakwater began. He then spent two years gold mining in Queensland, returning to Victor Harbor, where he was employed by the Government as a fitter, a position he occupied for 40 years. He married Miss Priscilla Higgins. He was a life member of the bowling club and a member of the Newland Memorial Congregational Church. Messrs. James (Victor Harbor), Fred (Millicent), and Tom (Port Pirie), and Mrs. L. V. Reid (Victor Harbor) are surviving children.
